Our schedule is very full through July 2026. Don't delay your bookings.
Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God through him. Col 3:17
We started our “retired life” business in 2024 not knowing what to expect. We knew the need was there because we personally have the need for trustworthy, mature and dependable pet sitters in our home. We took the obvious and started brainstorming. We first considered our combined experiences of being life long pet enthusiasts, pet butlers to our own 11 dogs and 2 cats since 1980 and numerous childhood pets. Then we added David’s 25 years as a business owner in another service industry and Debbie’s 32 years organizing all the things in her former career as a Speech Pathologist and The Bolton Butlers LLC was the result. We have been blessed with many loyal families who use us repeatedly to care for their pets in their homes.
As pet owners and homeowners for over 40 years, we know the importance and value of finding someone you can depend on and trust with your pets and your home.

***we only service zip codes 71105 71106 and 71115 in Shreveport LA.***
Our business is focused on long term relationships with pets and their families. We want to be your pet sitter that you trust and depend on repeatedly. We always give priority booking to our VIP families who book with us multiple times each year. If you do not currently have a preferred pet sitter, we'd love to visit with you.
While we are caring for your pets we can also help with watering inside and outside plants, bringing in mail and packages and putting trash cans out on your trash day and bringing them back the next day. Having us coming and going while you are away is an extra level of security for your home. We check the inside and outside of your home routinely to make sure all is well. If we see any concerns we text you that day.
Our premium in-home pet sitting service is designed to keep your pets comfortable, calm and cared for in the place they love most—their own home. No change of environment for your pet and no traveling for you to and from boarding. We come to your pets. No need to board a day early or late because boarding isn't open when you leave or return home. No exposure to other pets outside of your home. No dragging your pet's food, meds, bowls, bed and covers to a boarding facility. No confined unfamiliar kennel space for your pet for most of the day. No closed office hours when we are with your pets. We can always be reached and you talk to us, your pet's sitter not a receptionist.
You’ll receive text updates and photos, so you can relax knowing your pet is in trusted hands.

Dogs need 2-4 day time check ins for each full day you are away. Day time check ins happen between 7:30 am-7:30 pm. Dogs with doggy doors can have 2 check ins a day minimim. All other dogs must have 3 check ins a day minimum for potty breaks.
This is our basic check in that offers plenty of time to feed, potty, give meds and play.
Same as basic check in with added time for more play or for slower eaters or pets that need a bit more human companionship. This is the minimum time for dogs under the age of 12 mths. If your pet has separation anxiety and needs extra time to get calm after being alone this is the best check in option.
PAWjama party with your pets from a minimum of 8 pm-8 am. An overnight does not include day time care between 8 am-8 pm. Day check ins (see above) are added usually once or twice a day per your pet needs. An overnight stay gives your pet potty break times and companionship later than 7:30 pm and earlier than 7:30 am.
Your pet sleeps where they are used to sleeping. That could be their kennel, their bed or in bed with us if they sleep with you. An overnight stay automatically includes the equivalent of a morning and night check in (50.00 value) plus having us in your home all night.
Longer AM and PM visits
An alternative to full overnight care but more than short check ins. Perfect for pets who need extra evening and morning attention without the full overnight stay. This includes a one hour visit in the evening, a one hour visit the following morning and a 25 minute midday check in. This is a great choice if your pets are confined to their kennel when alone all day and night.
This price is for 1-3 pets. $10.00 per added pet.
We charge 5.00 a visit or 10.00 max a day if travel to your home is over 5 miles. We bill for added time not miles. We travel from University Terrace so much of SE Shreveport is under 5 miles. Added travel includes Southern Trace, St. Charles Place, Norris Ferry Crossing and Landing, Hidden Trace, South Ellerbe, Waters Edge, Long Lake as well as other neighborhoods beyond 5 miles.
Before we keep your pets for the first time, we schedule a meet and greet. We come to your home to meet your pets and let you show us all the things we need to know to care for your pets just as you do. For repeat pet sits, no meet and greet is needed unless there are new pets or there have been many changes we need to be aware of.
Personalize your pet care plan by choosing the services your pet needs. One size does not fit all.
Please reach us at dbolton59@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We feel it is essential for the safety of all that we have a prior connection with someone who knows both the pet sitters and the pet owners. This provides peace of mind to the pet owner and us as pet sitters. Because we are staying in your home,
knowing someone who knows both of us is important.
If you refer someone and they book with us, you receive a $25.00 credit for your next pet sit as our Thank You.
If your pet can stay in their kennel or in your home alone for 12 hrs at night, then 3 daily check ins would be appropriate. If your dog uses a doggy door then two check ins may work. All dogs must have at least 2 daily check ins while in our care. Cats should have one check in a day at minimum. This is for your pets safety.
If your pet needs to be let outside between the hours of approximately 8pm-8 am, overnight stays should be booked.
All puppies under 12 months require overnights.
If your pet is used to sleeping with you or has seperation anxiety, overnight stays are suggested.
If your pet has health issues that you worry about, overnights are suggested.
If you prefer someone in your home with your pet at night, overnights are the way to go.
If you want your pet checked on every four hours you’ll need four check ins or an overnight stay and two check ins. Dogs in kennel all day or dogs left outside between check ins need 3 check ins a day.
